In 2012 at the age of 59 I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. I not only had osteoporosis, I was also out of shape and weak with very little muscle mass.  I was pretty pathetic-I had to be helped up small boulders during hikes. It was at this point in time that I made the decision to do something about it. I joined 24 fitness and this is where lucky for me, I met Emily and Wade.  I had never done any strength training before. When I first started, I could not do a push-up or sit-up. Meeting them changed my life. I was so impressed with their approach to weight training, conditioning, nutrition, and mobility that I followed them when they left 24 hour fitness and I’m still with them today. Here it is 6 years later and I’m now in the best shape of my life. I’m so much stronger, have more flexibility, more energy, and I now have muscles! More importantly and impressively, I had a repeat bone density in 2016 and I gained 8% bone density (my doc told me you couldn’t regain lost bone density-ha) and I improved from osteoporosis to osteopenia with a now low risk of fracture! I can’t say enough good things about Wade, his knowledge, and commitment to health. I met him after dealing with some health challenges and was both excited for a comeback and nervous that I wouldn’t be able to hang in with workouts. Wade listened to me, understood what I was up against, and developed individualized approaches to help me get back on track. I appreciate that he practices what he teaches, is curious and always learning new things, and that he has always been open to taking time with me when I have questions. His understanding of body mechanics is amazing and he incorporates a variety of researched practices to optimize potential. I’ve never done the same workout twice and he has set me up for success in each and every session. I think one of my favorite aspects of working with him is that he works things into the session that he knows I can do, but that will surprise me. What’s more, he seems as excited about my achievements as I am. I’m grateful to be able to know and work with him.
